PeoplesTel announces its launch
Private landphone Peoplestel' starts networking activities

Peoples Telecommunication & Information Services Ltd, country's first private land-phone company, peoplestel has started its countrywide networking activities. At a press conference on Monday held at the VIP Lounge of the national Press Club, this was disclosed.

Company Managing Director TIM Nurun Nabi said that they have the target to reach a subscribers level of  one million by next  few years. Presently, it has been operating in 142 thanas under 28 districts of the country.

Against two products, Regular and Rojgar, the subscriptions will be provided. These are free of connection fees and the monthly line rate for both the packages is Taka 150. For the wireless subscribers, the connection fee is Taka 3,500. The single code number 038 will be used.  No incoming charge will be charged.

The call charge from Peoples'  to BTTB for per five minutes in the peak hour and per seven minutes in the off-pick hour has been fixed at Taka 1.50.

A 100 minutes of free talk time facility can be enjoyed from Peoples to Peoples calling per month.  The package has free-internet facility.

Peoples' Managing Director said  that if his company gets proper  supports  from the government telephone regulatory authorities, they will reach their goal to provide better services as per the expectations of the people.

Among others, Director  Shamima Nabi, Chief Operating officer Ahsan Ullah Chowdhury,  Chief of Corporate Affairs Moshiur Rahman Siddiqui and Chief Engineer Yunus Ali Mollah were present at the Press conference.
